Look out for this year’s fantastic charity auction raising money for Westminster Befriend a Family and hosted by our friends at Forster Chase. The auction takes place at the M Restaurant, 60 Threadneedle Street, London EC2R 8AY.

Forster Chase specialises in the global life and pensions market as well as protection and healthcare, and has very kindly chosen to support Westminster Befriend a Family, as one of two charities, with the proceeds from its annual charity fundraiser and city networking event.

Great, great prizes

Some of the great prizes on offer include:

  • Three-ball golf at the Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club
  • A three-course meal for two, including a glass of prosecco on arrival and a bottle of wine with the meal at Fescobaldi in Mayfair, and
  • A meal for two with wine at Tibits vegetarian restaurant in Mayfair

And two of the bigger prizes up for grabs include:

  • FOUR executive seats at the Manchester United vs Chelsea game on 27 April, 2019








And FOUR-ball golf at Queenswood Golf Club, including caddies and lunch.



Even if you know nothing of football, you’ll know that Man Utd and Chelsea are two of the biggest clubs in the world and match tickets are extremely hard to come by, more so if they are tickets for executive seats. While Queenswood Golf Club, in Ottershaw near Chertsey, is one of the most exclusive clubs in the country.

Alongside the auction will be a raffle with more prizes available, such as a tour of the Denbies Vineyard in Dorking, Surrey; three NOW TV sticks with passes; tickets for the Comedy Store and a tour for four of Fullers Brewery.

Run for Charity

Calling all runners!

WBAF has five running spaces in this year’s Royal Parks, which is being held in and around London’s Royal Parks this October, and we are looking for enthusiasts to fill these spaces.

A huge thank you goes out to all the volunteers and visitors who came to enjoy the Elizabeth Street Summer Party on 11th June!elizabeth st summer party pic

The event proved to be a success despite temperamental weather – the food, drink and entertainment brought together thousands of visitors who witnessed the likes of performances by Holland Park Opera, face painting, raffles and stilt walkers.

And special thanks to the organisers, sponsors and those who made the event happen. Thanks to you, Westminster Befriend A Family reached out to potential supporters and collected funds to help us continue to support families across Westminster.

WBAF’s jazz night and charity auction

Last Wednesday evening saw WBAF’s first jazz night and charity auction, held at 68 and 20160224-Westminster_Charity-119Boston. The event was organised by Forster Chase with Joshua Walker PR and attracted a packed venue and plenty of interest in the charity!

The programme included Christina Al-Wakil of Shift Little Sister on vocals and trumpet, Jasmine Ali on vocals and piano, David Williams on vocals and piano, and many others (Pete Goodwin on trumpet, Luiz Moretto on double bass, Dave Clarke on drums, Ramon Garcia on guitar and Benjamin Gasiglia on guitar), performing a mixture of low-key jazz classics and full-band tracks. Items and prizes for the auction and raffle were very generously donated by local businesses and individuals, including Alyn Williams at the Westbury; the Halkin Bar at Como Hotels; Arsenal Football Club; Dr Joney De Souza; Opium Cocktail & Dim Sum Parlor; the Cavendish clinic; Borciani London; David Millar; Mike Tindall; Deborah Hinton and Maison Touareg.

Our grand total for the night was £4,669, with all proceeds going towards enabling WBAF to continue our services providing practical and emotional support to families in need across Westminster.

We’d like to thank everyone who attended, helped to organise, or who donated items or funds for the event. We would also like to give a big thanks to Carl Stanley of White Fox Studios for taking some amazing photos!

Thanks to everyone involved, we are one step closer to our objective of making Westminster a borough where families feel enabled to lead fulfilling lives, free from the consequences of poverty.
