In addition to their work for the Board, our Trustees participate in and chair a number of finance, fundraising, volunteer and human resources subcommittees.
Our trustees endeavour to remain visible to our volunteers and families, often working with families themselves, or attending monthly supervision sessions.

Alan Price is the Chief Executive of Westminster Boating Base and was formerly a director in the banking sector.

 

Treasurer & Vice Chair: Arthur Moore

(Joined 14th December 2009)

Arthur Moore is the Chair of two large private companies and has been a main board director of a significant listed UK company.  He has an MBA from London Business School.

 

Shelagh Blackham MBE

(Joined 1989)

Shelagh is a volunteer with several national charities and has more than twenty years’ experience in the voluntary sector. She was awarded an MBE for services to the community in south east London.

 

Annie Younger

(joined 6th April 2009)

Annie has been teaching in London since 1972 mainly in state primary schools in the Westminster area. She specialises in teaching children with special educational needs in mainstream schools.  She is a qualified teacher of dyslexia and dyscalculia and has most recently been involved in an early intervention literacy programme called Reading Recovery.

 

Elga Batala

Elga is a qualified social worker.  She works in children and families social services for a London borough.  Elga was a Family Support Volunteer with our organisation for five years before joining the Board of Trustees.

 

Jennifer Keiza

(Joined 22nd March 2010)

Jennifer has over ten years exsperience working in the NHS in Community Health Smoking Cessation in Prision and pan London Stroke and Major Trauma projects.  Her most recent role has been at Central London Community Healthcare.  Jennifer is a qualified youth worker with over ten years’ experience of working with young people on housing estates.

 

Shamsa Hersi

Shamsa is a qualified social worker.  She works in children and families social services for a London borough.

 

Annaliese Briggs

Annaliese works for CIVITAS where she organises educational programmes around parental involvement in educational settings.
